Avetta® Cost: What Contractors Should Expect to Pay

Guide to Avetta cost and pricing for contractors – Cascade QMS

If a customer just asked you to join Avetta®, you’ve probably already looked for a price and come up empty. That’s because Avetta doesn’t publish one. Avetta quotes each contractor individually during registration, and your price depends on the type of work you do and what your specific client requires. What you can figure out ahead of time is what drives that number, and what else it takes to become compliant once you’re in.

How much does Avetta cost?

Avetta® doesn’t publish its pricing. According to Avetta, program pricing depends on the type of work you perform and your client’s specific requirements, and you receive a personalized quote during registration.

In practice, that means two contractors of the same size can pay very different amounts. A company doing higher-risk field work for a client with extensive requirements will usually pay more than a supplier doing low-risk work for a client that only needs basic verification.

How is Avetta pricing different from ISNetworld?

This is the biggest point of confusion we see. ISNetworld® prices by workforce size. Its fees are based on your average employee count. Avetta prices by the work and the client. Your cost reflects the type of work you perform and what your client has asked Avetta to verify.

So if you’re already on ISNetworld and a new customer asks for Avetta, don’t expect the pricing to follow the same logic. It’s a separate subscription with a separate basis. For how ISN’s side works, see what ISNetworld® costs.

What’s the difference between Avetta’s plans?

Avetta offers two kinds of plans for suppliers and contractors.

The Directory plan gives you a searchable company profile and access to tools like Find Work, Avetta University and Safety Advisor. It’s a way to be visible to companies using Avetta, but it isn’t built around a specific client’s requirements.

Client-Connected plans are what most contractors need when a customer sends them to Avetta. If a specific company told you to join Avetta so you can work for them, you’ll be connected to that client, and your plan is customized to what they require. Depending on the client, that can include insurance verification, health and safety verification, injury statistics verification, worker management, professional audits and subcontractor management.

The more your client asks Avetta to verify, the more there is to complete, and the more it generally costs.

What else does Avetta compliance cost?

The subscription gets you connected. Becoming compliant with your client is where most of the effort goes. Budget for these:

Safety programs and manual review. Many Avetta clients require written safety programs that meet their specific criteria, and some require your safety manual to be reviewed against them. Programs that don’t meet the client’s requirements get sent back, and each round adds time. Our Written Safety Programs and Safety Manual are written to be accepted.

Insurance. Clients set minimum coverage limits and certificate requirements. If your policy falls short, raising your limits is a real cost, and your agent will need to issue a compliant certificate.

Injury statistics. Expect to submit OSHA logs and EMR information. If your EMR is high, some clients will ask for more documentation or a corrective action plan. Not sure what your EMR means? See EMR rating explained.

Worker and training records. Some clients require individual workers to be tracked in Avetta, with training and qualifications on file. If your training records live in a filing cabinet, or don’t exist, closing that gap takes time.

Subcontractors. If you hire subs, some clients now require them to be in Avetta too. For example, Cemex began requiring prime and general contractors to track their subcontractors through Avetta’s Subcontractor Management feature in September 2025. See Cemex’s Avetta subcontractor requirement.

Your time. For a small contractor, this is usually the biggest cost. Questionnaires, uploads, corrections and follow-ups land on whoever handles compliance. At a company without a safety department, that’s often the owner.

What does it cost to get help with Avetta?

You have a few options, and they aren’t mutually exclusive.

Do it yourself. No outside fee, but plan on the time. Most delays come from rejected programs and incomplete questionnaires, not from Avetta itself. Our list of the top reasons contractors get rejected on Avetta covers the most common problems.

Avetta’s own add-on support. Avetta offers a paid compliance support service called Vetify. It’s worth asking about during registration.

An independent compliance consultant. A consultant like Cascade QMS works for you, not for the platform. With an Avetta® Management Plan, we set up your account, write or upgrade the safety programs your client requires, handle insurance and documentation, resolve deficiencies, and keep your account current year-round. Because we also manage ISNetworld®, Veriforce® and other platforms, the same documentation can support your other customers’ requirements too. We quote Management Plans after a short call, based on your client’s requirements and what documentation you already have.

How long does it take to get Avetta approved?

Most contractors take two to six weeks, depending on how complete their documentation is, how quickly they respond to requests, and how complex their client’s requirements are. Well-prepared contractors can sometimes finish faster. Your client and Avetta control the final status. For more detail, see how long it takes to get Avetta approved.

Is Avetta worth the cost?

If a customer you want to work for requires it, the real question isn’t whether to join. It’s how to get compliant without losing weeks. An account stuck with open deficiencies can keep you off a job you’ve already won, and that usually costs far more than the subscription.

There’s upside too. Avetta reports more than 360,000 businesses across 120+ countries on its network, and once your account is in good standing, you’re positioned for other Avetta clients in your industry.

Let Cascade handle Avetta for you

In our experience helping contractors manage Avetta accounts, the subscription is rarely what holds people up. It’s the safety programs, the insurance certificates and the back-and-forth. That’s the part we take off your plate.

Avetta cost FAQs

Does Avetta publish its pricing?

No. Avetta provides a personalized quote during registration, based on the type of work you perform and your client’s requirements.

Is Avetta more expensive than ISNetworld?

It depends on your situation, because the two price differently. ISNetworld bases fees on workforce size. Avetta bases pricing on the type of work you do and your client’s requirements. A small company doing high-risk work may compare differently than a large, low-risk supplier.

What’s the difference between Avetta’s Directory and Client-Connected plans?

The Directory plan gives you a searchable profile and tools for finding work. Client-Connected plans are customized to a specific client’s requirements and can include insurance, safety, injury statistics and worker verification. If a client told you to join Avetta, you’ll typically need a Client-Connected plan.

Does Cascade QMS charge Avetta’s fees?

No. Avetta bills its subscription directly. Cascade’s Avetta Management Plan fees are separate and cover the work of setting up and managing your account.

Do I need Avetta if I already have ISNetworld?

If your client requires Avetta, yes. Platforms aren’t interchangeable, and each client chooses its own. The good news is that well-written safety programs can often support both, which cuts down the work.
