Zachry ISNetworld® Requirements: What Suppliers on the NiSource Project Need to Know

Zachry ISNetworld supplier requirements for the NiSource project – Cascade QMS

If your company supplies goods or services to Zachry Group, there’s a good chance you’ve already seen it: a notice from ISN saying Zachry has expanded its relationship with ISNetworld®, and that suppliers working on Zachry’s NiSource project must subscribe to ISNetworld and complete a list of Zachry-specific requirements. The notice is short, but the work behind it isn’t. Here’s what Zachry is asking for, which project it applies to, and what to do if your account isn’t ready.

Does Zachry require ISNetworld?

Yes. Zachry’s procurement page says the company evaluates all third parties against its safety, quality and financial standards before contracting, and that it uses ISNetworld to qualify suppliers and subcontractors.

What changed in October 2026 is the scope. According to the notice ISN sent to subscribers, Zachry has expanded its business relationship with ISN to strengthen its supplier management program, and ISNetworld now serves as Zachry’s primary supplier information management system for the NiSource project. Suppliers performing services for Zachry on that project are required to become ISNetworld subscribers.

The notice is also clear about the stakes: to be considered by Zachry during supplier selection, all required data has to be received before new business is considered. An incomplete account can keep you out of the running before price or capability ever come up.

What is the NiSource project?

In October 2025, Zachry Group announced it had been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for NiSource’s Combined Cycle Generation Project near Wheatfield, Indiana. The project includes two gas-fired combined cycle units and is being built to supply power to a large-load customer.

The work is being carried out by a 50/50 joint venture between Zachry Group and Quanta Services. Quanta has described the project as approximately 3 gigawatts of generation, with Zachry leading engineering, project management and commissioning, Quanta leading field and craft workforce management, and full power availability expected by 2032.

A multi-year power plant build of that size needs a long list of suppliers: civil and site work, mechanical and electrical trades, equipment rental, sanitation and site services, fabrication, transportation, and more. That’s why the ISNetworld requirement matters to more than just the big subcontractors.

What are Zachry’s ISNetworld requirements?

The ISN notice lists the following Zachry-specific requirements for current ISNetworld subscribers:

  • Grant Zachry access to view your company’s information in ISNetworld
  • Company profile
  • Questionnaires: Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE); Sustainability; Zachry-specific; and Commercial
  • HSE programs: desktop review and implementation assessment
  • Document submittal: OSHA forms and Experience Modifier (EMR)
  • Financial and quality information

Some of these are quick. Granting access and updating your company profile can take minutes. Others take real time, and they’re where most suppliers get held up.

HSE programs: desktop review and implementation assessment

This is usually the heaviest lift. Your written safety programs are reviewed by ISN’s RAVS® team against regulatory and hiring client requirements, and a program that doesn’t address every required element gets sent back. The implementation assessment then looks at whether your company actually puts those programs into practice. A generic safety manual rarely gets through on the first pass. Our guide to building safety programs that pass ISNetworld’s RAVS review covers what reviewers look for, and our walkthrough of completing a RAVS Plus assessment covers the implementation side.

Questionnaires

Four questionnaires is more than many suppliers are used to. The Sustainability and Commercial questionnaires in particular catch companies off guard, since they ask about topics outside day-to-day safety. Answers need to be consistent with the programs and documents you submit, because inconsistencies are a common reason for follow-up questions.

OSHA forms and EMR

Expect to upload your OSHA 300 and 300A logs and an EMR letter from your insurance carrier or agent. If you’ve never requested an EMR letter, start now; it depends on someone else’s turnaround. Our guide to the experience modification rate explains what it is and how to get one.

Financial and quality information

Zachry evaluates suppliers on financial and quality standards as well as safety, so expect to provide information beyond your safety records.

I don’t have ISNetworld yet. What should I do?

The notice was sent to current subscribers, but suppliers who don’t yet have ISNetworld and want work on the project need to subscribe first. ISN directs questions to its customer service team at (800) 976-1303. ISN sets its own subscription pricing; see what ISNetworld costs for how its fees are structured.

Once you subscribe and connect to Zachry, the same requirement list applies. Plan for the written programs and questionnaires to take the longest.

I already use ISNetworld for other clients. Am I covered?

Not automatically. One ISNetworld subscription covers all of your connected hiring clients, but each hiring client sets its own requirements. Your account may be in good standing with another client while still missing Zachry’s questionnaires, the implementation assessment, or programs Zachry requires that your other clients don’t. Check your Zachry requirements in ISNetworld after connecting, not just your overall status.

A quick word on fraudulent emails

Zachry’s procurement page warns that impostors have sent fraudulent invoices and orders while claiming to represent Zachry. If a message asks you to pay something or send sensitive information, confirm it through ISN’s customer service line or Zachry directly before acting, and log in to ISNetworld from its own website rather than a link in an email.

Let Cascade handle your Zachry ISNetworld requirements

In our experience managing ISNetworld accounts for contractors and suppliers, a new hiring client requirement like this one rarely arrives at a convenient time. It lands on an owner or office manager who’s also running jobs, chasing invoices and handling payroll, and it comes with a deadline tied to new business.

Cascade QMS manages ISNetworld accounts so you don’t have to work through the requirements yourself. Our ISNetworld® Management Plan covers account setup and cleanup, hiring client requirements, questionnaires, document submittals and ongoing maintenance. We also write customized written safety programs, and our written programs are guaranteed to be accepted.

ISN and Zachry decide your account status and supplier selection, not Cascade. What we do is find what’s missing and handle the work of getting it complete.
