Contractors may still hear customers, project managers and other vendors use “TECO” when discussing Tampa Electric work.
That distinction matters for search purposes, too. A contractor may search Google for “TECO ISNetworld requirements” even though the actual project or contracting documentation references Tampa Electric.
That is why contractors should understand all three names.
Does TECO/Tampa Electric Require ISNetworld® Compliance?
Tampa Electric uses formal contractor safety and prequalification processes, and contractors on applicable TECO/Tampa Electric projects may be required to maintain compliance through ISNetworld®.
One recent Tampa-area TECO construction solicitation, for example, was explicitly identified as “ISNetworld Required: TECO – Skills Training Center.”
Tampa Electric also maintains dedicated contractor safety programs and states that its safety culture is built around risk assessment, injury prevention and the expectation that employees and contractors stop work they believe to be unsafe.
