Navigating Ariba Requirements
Eversource Energy requires its contractors and suppliers to use the Ariba system for various procurement and sourcing activities. Specifically, Eversource utilizes two main Ariba platforms:
- Ariba Sourcing: This platform is employed for strategic sourcing, contracting, and generating vendor scorecards. To participate in Requests for Information (RFI) or Requests for Proposals (RFP), contractors must be registered and approved within Ariba Sourcing.
- Ariba Network: Used for electronic transactions, Ariba Network facilitates the sending of purchase orders and the receipt of invoices between Eversource and its vendors. All suppliers enabled on Ariba Network are required to submit electronic invoices through this system.

- Participation in RFI/RFP: Submit responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) through Ariba Sourcing.
2. Ariba Network
The Ariba Network platform facilitates electronic transactions between Eversource and its vendors in efforts to streamline POs. Contractors are required to:
- Electronic Invoicing: Submit invoices electronically through the Ariba Network.
- Purchase Order Management: Receive and manage purchase orders sent by Eversource via the Ariba Network.
