Navigating Ariba Requirements

Eversource Energy requires its contractors and suppliers to use the Ariba system for various procurement and sourcing activities. Specifically, Eversource utilizes two main Ariba platforms:

  • Ariba Sourcing: This platform is employed for strategic sourcing, contracting, and generating vendor scorecards. To participate in Requests for Information (RFI) or Requests for Proposals (RFP), contractors must be registered and approved within Ariba Sourcing.
  • Ariba Network: Used for electronic transactions, Ariba Network facilitates the sending of purchase orders and the receipt of invoices between Eversource and its vendors. All suppliers enabled on Ariba Network are required to submit electronic invoices through this system.

Additionally, contractors performing on-site or safety-sensitive work are mandated to establish a profile on ISNetworld, a platform used by Eversource to track vendors’ safety records and maintain safety scorecards. Learn more about ISNetworld and Cascade QMS support options here.

Eversource Energy requires contractors to utilize the Ariba system for various procurement and sourcing activities. The nature of the job and contractor relationship will determine the extent of Ariba’s requirements. Most contractors and suppliers working for Eversource will need to submit specific business information and documents through both of the primary Ariba platforms. Those platforms are:

1. Ariba Sourcing

This platform is used for strategic sourcing, contracting, and generating vendor scorecards to ensure compliance standards are met. Contractors are required to perform the following data submissions:

  • Registration: Complete the supplier registration process to become an approved supplier.
  • Participation in RFI/RFP: Submit responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) through Ariba Sourcing.

2. Ariba Network

The Ariba Network platform facilitates electronic transactions between Eversource and its vendors in efforts to streamline POs. Contractors are required to:

  • Electronic Invoicing: Submit invoices electronically through the Ariba Network.
  • Purchase Order Management: Receive and manage purchase orders sent by Eversource via the Ariba Network.

Additionally, contractors performing on-site or safety-sensitive work are mandated to establish a profile on ISNetworld, a platform used by Eversource to track vendors’ safety records and maintain safety scorecards.

For detailed guidance on these processes, Eversource provides resources such as the “Ariba Network Configuration Guide” and instructions on “How to Submit an Invoice Through Ariba Network.” These documents can be found on Eversource’s procurement systems webpage.
